How We Got Here
Look, we didn't set out to be just another fancy hotel in Vancouver. Back when we started, the idea was simple - create a place where people actually want to stay, not just crash for the night. We've always believed that luxury isn't about being stuffy or over-the-top. It's about getting the details right and making folks feel like they've stepped into something special.
2018 - The Foundation
We found this gorgeous building on West Georgia Street and knew right away it had that vibe we were chasing. Took us nearly a year to renovate, but we didn't rush it. Every suite, every corner needed to tell a story. Our architect kept saying we were too picky - we took that as a compliment.
2019 - Opening Our Doors
Grand opening was wild. We had about 40 suites ready and honestly weren't sure if anyone would even show up. Turns out, people in Vancouver were craving something different - somewhere between those massive chain hotels and the quirky B&Bs. We hit that sweet spot and haven't looked back since.
2021 - Growing the Empire
Added our spa and wellness center because, let's be real, people needed it after the year we'd all had. Also expanded our conference facilities - turned out a lot of executives preferred hosting meetings somewhere with actual character instead of those boring corporate spaces. Can't blame 'em.
2023 - Restaurant & Bar Launch
Our fine dining spot finally opened after months of testing recipes and training staff. We wanted something that'd make locals come even when they're not staying overnight. The bar's become a bit of a scene too - mixologist does things with Canadian rye that'll surprise you.
Today - Still Evolving
We're constantly tweaking things, listening to what guests tell us they need. Just upgraded our concierge services and added more personalized travel planning. The team's grown to about 85 people now, and honestly, they're what makes this place work. You can have the nicest building in the world, but without genuine folks running it, it's just walls and furniture.
What We're About
Straight up? We're about making people's stays memorable without being pretentious about it. Everyone on our team knows your name by day two. We stock local BC wines. Our beds are ridiculously comfortable. And yeah, we've got all that high-end stuff - marble bathrooms, premium linens, the works - but it's not just for show. It's because staying somewhere should feel like an experience, not just checking into a room.
